The waterfalls of Akchour

                                     The waterfalls of Akchour

33 kilometers from the blue city of Chefchaouen, in the vicinity of the Talassemtane National Park we find one of the largest natural spectacles of Morocco, the waterfalls of Akchour.
The waterfalls, declared and their environment, reserve of the biosphere by UNESCO in 2016, invite to a sensory experience of the richest.

The path to the waterfalls is of great beauty, well signposted and easy access for all family members. The first route also provides access to another important geographical accident, the Pont de Dieu. Arriving at the junction that separates the Cascade and the Bridge roads, we will take the route of the bridge following the El Kelaa River bed. Despite the slight slope, we can already see the first waterfalls and wooden bridges. Along the way we can see frail cane constructions and the ornaments of the road as benches that help to give the area a magical aura.
As the road becomes complicated, the beauty of the area increases by one notch.

The waterfalls are each time bigger until you reach the big waterfall of Akchour where the water seems to have patiently carved a magical decoration of capricious forms the limestone rock.
